Dr. Ken and Mrs.Jane Dye

In the year 1971, American missionaries Ken and Jane Dye who had been serving on the Caribbean Island of Jamaica since 1967, assisted in the establishment of the Jamaica School of Preaching as well as founded the Caribbean Lectureship.

To Ken, it was a way of bringing the brethren from all the islands together for fellowship, spiritual encouragement and building bond in Christ.

For thirty three years, The Dyes faithfully supported and directed efforts for the continuous hosting of this event, which today has grown in leaps and bounds beyond what he first expected.

Though this will be the fourth year the Caribbean Lectureship is being planned and directed by Caribbean brethren, the Dyes continue to give their love and spiritual and moral support dutifully.

Ken and Jane, now married for forty five years are proud parents of three adult children. Ken currently serves as Involvement and Outreach Minister at the West End Church of Christ in Nashville, Tennessee.

As we celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Caribbean Lectureship, we continue to acknowledge Ken and Jane Dye for their ideas, input, and encouragement to brethren of the Caribbean Islands as together we seek to keep the fires of this special event burning on a different island each year!
